About Us:
We have two goals here at The Sewist;
To empower you during your sewing journey through classes, workshops, and camps, and second, to provide you with the materials and tools to get you there!
The Studio:
We have been providing an inclusive space for learning how to sew in our community since 2012.
Our programs focus on helping you master your sewing skills while letting you explore your creativity. Whether in our weekly Kids & Teens classes, our Sew Together packages, or our Sewing Skills Workshop, we can guide you in any phase of your journey. Our studio offers a spacious space and the necessary tools and equipment, including sewing machines, sergers, rotary cutters/mats, and much more. Although we specialize in garment construction, we can help you with any project, and if you bring in something that stumps us, we will learn together.
The Shop:
Started in 2022, our shop is your go-to destination for all things sewing and notions. We’re passionate about providing high-quality materials and inspiration to makers of all levels – from first-time hobbyists, to seasoned sewists!
In our shop, you’ll find fabrics, patterns, notions, sewing tools, and plenty more! We try to keep a little bit of everything on hand—so whether you’re tackling a big project or just picking up a spool of thread, you won’t leave empty-handed.
We’re here to help you find what you need, share a few tips if you want them, and cheer you on while you create something awesome.
