The Intro to Sewing Package is designed for complete beginners who want to go beyond learning the basics and start actually sewing. This package gives you the time, guidance, and support to get through your very first project while building the foundation you need to continue sewing with confidence.
This package includes our Sewing Basics Crash Course, five Sewing Skills Workshop passes, and a beginner sewing pattern to get you started.
Cost: $275+HST
*After you purchase this package, you will get a receipt with a scheduling link to book your Crash Course and Sewing Skills Workshop sessions.
In the Crash Course, you’ll:
Get comfortable with your sewing machine; learn how to thread it, wind and insert a bobbin, choose stitches, and get sewing.
Learn the basics of working with fabric + patterns; read a commercial pattern envelope, understand grain and bias, and learn how to properly lay out and cut your pattern.
Practice the fundamentals; get hands-on with basic stitches and essential sewing tools and techniques.
Make your first project from start to finish; put your new skills into practice and leave with something you made yourself!
*Machines are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own. Please bring a spool of thread and an empty bobbin if using your machine!
