This package gives you the time, guidance, and support to get through your very first project while building the foundation you need to continue sewing with confidence.

This package includes our Sewing Basics Crash Course, five Sewing Skills Workshop passes, and a beginner sewing pattern to get you started.

Sewing Basics Crash Course

Start your sewing journey with the basics. This beginner-friendly crash course introduces you to your sewing machine and the essential techniques needed to begin sewing.

*Sewing Basics Crash Courses are offered on set dates. Classes run from September to June and return each fall.

• Learn how to operate a sewing machine including threading, winding a bobbin, and how to use different stitch settings.

• Practice basic stitches.

• Learn how to read a commercial pattern envelope to determine your materials list.

• Learn about the grain and bias of fabric and how to cut out a pattern properly.

• Go over a sewing room set up for successful sewing, learn about the essential tools to get started.

• Make your first crafty project. Walk away with something to be proud of.

*Machines are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own. Please bring a spool of thread and an empty bobbin if using your machine.
